Spanish Championship of Autonomous Selections SUB16 and Inclusive
La Nucía, Alicante – 4th and 5th of October 2025
Thefuture of Canary athleticscontinues to take firm steps. During the weekend of the 4th and 5th of October, a total of39 athletes from Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, accompanied by three coaches and a team leader, travelled toLa Nucía (Alicante)to proudly represent the Canary Islands at one of the most significant events on the national youth calendar: theSpanish Championship of Autonomous Selections SUB16 and Inclusive.
The competition took place in an atmosphere of high sporting level and great commitment from all participants, consolidating the work that has been carried out from the training categories in the islands. It was a weekend ofpure athletics, personal and collective growth, in which the young athletes demonstrated their talent and dedication.
From our club,four athletes, who delivered an outstanding performance that resulted in highly commendable results:
Ana Gonzálezwas crownedSpanish Championin the3,000 metres race walk, confirming her excellent form.
Chinaecherem Messaachieved thethird placeand thebronze medalinshot put, contributing significantly to the score of the Canary team.
Paola Rodríguez Da Silvafinished in the13th placein the300 metres flatand was part of the relay4x300, which achieved the12th position.
Max Mora Lobmeyersecured aseventh positioninjavelin throwand also participated in the relay4x300, which finished in11th position.
These results reflect thehigh competitive level and the solid preparationof our athletes, as well as the joint work of coaches, families, and the club itself. Each performance has been the result of the effort, consistency, and commitment that characterises our athletes.
With this championship, our club continues to add successes and contribute to the development of athletics in the Canary Islands, reinforcing its presence in national competitions and demonstrating, once again, that teamwork and passion for this sport remain the foundation of every achievement.
