Canary Islands Championship SUB8 and SUB10 at the inauguration of the new Athletics track Los Laureles in Tegueste
Last Saturday, 10th October, theCanary Islands Championship SUB8 and SUB10, a special event that took place at the newly inauguratedAthletics track Los Laureles, in Tegueste. The day was divided into two sessions: in the morning, the events for the Prebenjamín category (SUB8) were held, and in the afternoon, those for the Benjamín category (SUB10).
The participation of our entity was exceptional, achieving ahistoric record of attendancewith a total of17 athletes in the SUB8 category and 19 in the SUB10, who represented the club with enthusiasm, effort, and exemplary behaviour. This achievement reflects the growth of our youth programme and the commitment of the youngest to athletics.
The competition was marked by aspirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship. In the stands, there was a day full of support, joy, and participation from families, who cheered on the young athletes at all times. Beyond the results, excitement and fun prevailed, elements that define the true spirit of grassroots sport.
We want tocongratulate the Canary Islands Athletics Federationfor the excellent organisation of this championship andthank the work of the judges, whose work ensures the proper development of each event. Likewise, we recognise the fundamental role ofparents and family members, whose constant support is essential for the progress and motivation of younger athletes.
With this championship, our organisation begins the season with enthusiasm, reinforcing its commitment to the sporting and personal development of its athletes, in an environment that promotes respect, coexistence, and love for athletics.
